Dear High Intermediate Students,
We are delighted to welcome you to the first class of the High Intermediate level at CUU English Language Center. Congratulations on your progress so far and for reaching this exciting stage in your language-learning journey. In this course, we will focus on further developing your language skills to a higher level of proficiency.
As high intermediate students, you have already established a solid foundation in English and are ready to take your skills to the next level. This course will provide you with the opportunity to expand your vocabulary, refine your grammar, and strengthen your speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
Here’s what you can expect from this course:
- Vocabulary Expansion: Enhance your vocabulary by learning more advanced words and idiomatic expressions. You will explore a wide range of topics and engage in activities to reinforce your understanding and usage of vocabulary in context.
- Grammar Refinement: Polish your grammar skills and gain a deeper understanding of complex grammatical structures. We will focus on advanced grammar topics, such as verb tenses, conditionals, reported speech, and more, to help you communicate more accurately and effectively.
- Speaking and Listening: Engage in interactive speaking activities and discussions to improve your fluency and confidence. You will participate in group conversations, presentations, debates, and role-plays, allowing you to express your ideas and opinions while developing critical thinking and communication skills.
- Reading Comprehension: Explore a variety of authentic texts, including articles, short stories, and excerpts from novels. You will practice reading for main ideas, inferencing, and understanding context to enhance your reading comprehension skills.
- Writing Skills: Develop your writing skills by composing paragraphs, essays, and reports on various topics. We will focus on coherent organization, logical development of ideas, and effective use of vocabulary and grammar to help you express your thoughts clearly and concisely.
